• When you change is to are, also make the naming word plural (add -s or -es).
• When you change are to is, make the naming word singular (remove -s or -es).
Singular → Plural (Change "is" to "are")
The pencil is sharp. → The pencils are sharp.
Plural → Singular (Change "are" to "is")
Are the hats old? → Is the hat old?
Part A • Change "is" to "are" (Make Plural)
Change "is" to "are" and write each statement correctly on the line. Remember to pluralize the naming word.

Part B • Change "are" to "is" (Make Singular)
Change "are" to "is" and write each question correctly on the line. Remember to end with a question mark (?).
