Golden Rule of Punctuation
What are Quotation Marks? The little marks that inclose the exact words of another, are called quotation marks.
How to Use: Put “ when someone begins to speak, and ” when they finish!
1 Dialogue Model — Study the Inverted Commas
1. “Name the parts of an orange,” said Ida.
2. “It has a peel, pulp, and seeds,” said Clara.
Notice the little comma before the closing quotation mark in each sentence.
