• Living Animals (7): horses, dogs, cats, turkeys, geese, cows, bears.
• Edible Produce (8): beets, orange, apples, plum, cherries, pear, turnips, peach.
• Play & Household Objects (7): doll, bat, ball, rope, bread, meat, trees.
• Persons (2): girls, boys.
Note: Guide children to see that each word designates an entity that can be perceived or imagined through real-world experience.

  • Sensory Description: When asking "Describe the object named by meat / boy", invite tactile, color, and functional descriptions before writing.
  • Syntax Harmony: Help the child hear how placing words into complete frames gives life to isolated words.
  • Oral Fluency: Conclude by having the child vocalize each completed sentence clearly.
