The Thought Experiment
• Think of something a bird does: The bird flies.
• Think of something a cat does: The cat purrs.
• We need both a name-word and an action-word to share a complete idea!
The Two Vital Parts
• Every true sentence has a name-word (actor) and an action-word (what it does).
• When a thought is fully expressed, it is called a sentence!
